Deck height decides everything

Deck height decides everything. An eight foot slide is built for a four foot deck and a nine foot slide for a five foot deck; mount one on the wrong platform and the exit angle changes, which is the difference between a long smooth run-out and a jolt at the bottom. Measure from the ground to the top of the deck boards before you choose.

Wave, scoop, side winder or tube

The shapes do different jobs. A wave slide is the classic: a long open bed with a dip in the middle that slows the ride just enough. A scoop slide runs straighter and faster. The side winder curves through a quarter turn and takes less yard. A turbo tube slide is fully enclosed, comes in sections that quick-connect, and is the one kids queue for.

What the beds are made of

All of our beds are moulded in a single piece or in sections that bolt together, from polyethylene stabilised against ultraviolet light, so the colour holds instead of chalking after two summers. Safety handles mount at the top of the bed and are included where the design calls for them. Hardware for mounting to a wooden deck comes in the box.

Which slide fits my deck height?

Eight foot slides are made for four foot decks and nine foot slides for five foot decks. Turbo tube slides are sold by deck height directly — a five foot tube slide for a five foot deck.

Can I mount these on a frame from another maker?

Usually yes, as long as the deck height matches and the deck boards can take the mounting hardware. Check the mounting footprint on the page against your platform.
